Ideas for our Future
Harnessing our joint Knowledge, Skills and Experience to address the big issues and opportunities of our time
With the election due on July 4th our discussions for July will be centred on Election Outcomes. We previously discussed election outcomes after the 2019 election and what we saw as the opportunities and risks for the then new Government. You might like to take a look at that discussion output at Election Outcomes.
Agenda
What are our personal feelings about the outcome? Are we happy or disappointed, optimistic or pessimistic? Why?
What are the consequences of the election for each of the parties? How will this affect our democracy?
How would we rate the new Government’s implementation ability i.e. to genuinely deliver ‘government for the good of all’ both economic wellbeing and lifestyle wellbeing?
What was actually in the winning manifesto? Which policies do we think are likely to be successfully implemented and which not? What are the immediate priorities for the new Government?
What are the Issues and Opportunities for the new Government? What are the 10 actions we would take to try and ensure opportunities are realised and pitfalls are avoided?
